New life

My daughter, Katie, gave birth on Wednesday morning to her first child, Owen. He is quite small and very punctual, as her labour started on the very day she was officially due. The joy, along with exhaustion, was absolutely plain on her face and on that of her husband, Tom.

So, welcome to the world, little Owen – he was 6.6 lbs at birth. That is almost exactly 3 Kg, give or take a scruple.
